Interstitial presents LVLZ Healing Center: IRL Application of Digi-Manifestation a group of installations by media artist Elizabeth Mputu. The artist describes his/her work as an opportunity to “give myself the gift of my ancestors’ wisdom as guidance in order to better navigate my life.”
The first physical iteration of Mputu’s predominantly digital work, he/she will construct four “portals of healing” in the gallery space: Pod 1: Welcome Center, Pod 2: Level A, Pod 3: Level 0, and Pod 4: Level Zed. Through video, interactive media, sculpture, and installation, LVLZ Healing Center: IRL Application of Digi-Manifestation reconstructs our notions of well being, both in the physical and digital space.
This exhibition is generously supported, in part, by The Black Embodiment Studio.
This exhibition is presented in partnership with the Disjecta Contemporary Art Center as supportive programming to A Situation of Meat the first of four exhibitions of the Season 7 Curator in Residence Program curated by Julia Greenway.
